The Healing Power of Sound, Color & Water | A Creative Play Day

A Healing Creative Play Day Facilitated By Women, For Women.

Join us at my home, which I call the Tree Spirit Retreat Center (just outside of Nashville) for a full day of healing fun and play. Utilizing the elements of sound, color, and water, we will explore how we can naturally attune our bodies and beings through intuitive, creative exploration. Accessing the Divine flow that exists within, open up and allow yourself to play with colorful sonic and artistic abandon.  

Karen Renée, founder and guide of Frame Drum Wisdom and ReSounding Wholeness will combine the Frame Drum Wisdom playshop with her unique WaterColor Play class to bring you into a high vibration state of childlike wonder, and sweet soulful, creative liberation.  Raven Barrientos will be assisting and providing support throughout the day. All of the resources you need for a fun-filled experience will be provided.  We will have a potluck, or bring your own food & drink for the lunch break.  

We are excited to bring this life-changing, immersive experience to the greater Nashville community and beyond. We welcome out of state participants as well. Come for a weekend of fun and healing in Music City!

Frame Drum Wisdom | A Personal Journey Into Sacred Sound for Healing & Well-Being

An exploration of sound vibration, voice, and rhythm using the ancient wisdom of the frame drum. Learn a variety of techniques you can use the frame drum for. Liberate the power of your voice, connect with your own inner rhythm, experience personal sound vibration massage, and more!  Ease mental stress and shift emotional energy in a natural, fun way.  You will come away from this class with easy activities you can use daily to bring your body, mind, soul and being into a beautiful presence and vibrational state.

WaterColor Play

Reclaim and energize your Creative Spirit through a unique watercolor technique that will engaged your childlike wonder. This watercolor technique is designed to encourage and support spontaneous flow, while enjoying the interplay of water and vibrant color. Witness how the flow of water moves effortlessly across the page, leaving pleasant surprises and mystical imagery in its wake. Deeply meditative and enlivening. You will complete the experience with a deeper awareness of your ability to “go with the flow;” reconnected to the creative force that resides within you; and encouraged to continue to explore the techniques in your own unique way.

Karen Renee Robb, founder of Frame Drum Wisdom and ReSounding Wholeness, is a vocal, written word, and visual artist with over 30 years of vocal performance experience. Her passion for live sound, creativity, and compassion has led her to assist others in reclaiming their voice, innate rhythm and creative expression utilizing the frame drum. A mid-wife for the soul’s expression, Karen Renée brings her whole self into the experiences she facilitates. Helping to awaken and support others in meaningful, memorable ways, she makes the Healing Arts accessible and a vital part of personal growth and development. Raven Barrientos | Apprentice & LightKeeper - From a very early age, Raven Barrientos was surrounded by music and art. As she developed and nurtured her relationship with both elements throughout her developing years, they gradually evolved into huge passions in her life. The vocalist/violinist relocated from upstate New York to Nashville in the early 2000s, where she pursued her passion in the “Music City” for  several years before later joining the corporate world. While music, a vital and necessary source of happiness, remained a hobby in her life, it was no longer at center stage. But in 2016 when Raven began her awakening journey, it became apparent that both music and art— now in  the form of painting—needed a greater place in her world. Seeking solace in sound frequency healing tracks, it wasn’t long before she began to realize that sound held even greater importance than she may have once thought. At a chance pairing at the Center For Spiritual Living in Nashville, she met Karen Renée Robb and she sang background vocals to Karen Renée’s song “A Call For Compassion.” Synchronistically along her own journey, Raven had made the decision to tattoo the word compassion to her right forearm just days before this performance. Raven received the call and joined the first Frame Drum Wisdom Apprenticeship Program created and led by Karen Renee in 2019. There, she further developed her skills by learning the use of the frame drum as well as other sound healing modalities, eventually finding her way to her spirit instrument, the calabash. Music and art are once again holding a primary focal point in her life. Raven is now working towards projects to further her own healing journey as well as sharing her gifts and findings with others along the way.
